Every one of us is learning each and every day. This glossary is meant to help anyone with questions about specific terms used on the site or in the application process.

Brainstorm
A technique to generate ideas and solve specific problems by having discussion that includes all members of a group.
Concept Stage
An organization or team that has explored the feasibility of their idea.
Deadline Dynamo AKA (Project Manager)
The team member that keeps track of deadlines and constraints and supports other team members needs and resources. They see a project through to the finish line.
Disruptor
A person who causes change, preventing things from continuing in their usual manner.
Entrepreneur
A person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business and assumes all risks associated with it.
Entrepreneur Curious
Someone who is not an entrepreneur yet, but is interested in learning more about them and possibly becoming one in the future.
Equal Opportunity
Not discriminating against people because of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or mental or physical differences.
Equitable
Something that is fair, just, and impartial
Ideation Stage
An organization or team that is in the process of forming ideas for their project, though they may not be set in stone.
Innovation Catalyst
The team member(s) who wear many different hats, working in whatever role they're needed in.

Introducing something new or different
Intrapreneur
An employee of a large corporation who is given freedom and financial support to create new products, services, systems, etc., and does not have to follow the corporation's usual routines or protocols.
Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Stage
An organization or team that has a prototype of their product that includes functional versions of key elements that are planned for inclusion in the final product.
Professional
Someone that is an expert at some kind of work.
Prototype
A first full-scale and usually functional form of a new design.
Scale Up
An organization or team with an already established structure, project, and/or process.
Stakeholder
A person or group that has an investment, share, or interest in something, as a business or industry.
Startup Stage
An organization or team that is in the selling or fundraising for their project.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
17 goals adopted by the United Nations in as a call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
Tech Maestro AKA (Technologist)
The team member that is interested in technology or has proficiency developing technology.
Virtual Virtuoso AKA (Designer)
The team member responsible for bringing the design and visuals of the project to life
